Andrea Salas
Deputy Director
Andrea is the Deputy Director at the California Coalition for Rural Housing, where she oversees the organization’s operations and assists the Executive Director with the long-term strategy. Andrea began with CCRH in 2019 as a Programs Coordinator, supporting the organization’s technical assistance efforts across the San Joaquin Valley. In 2022, she transitioned to the role of Operations Director, where she restructured the organization’s administrative functions
Before joining CCRH, Andrea was a CCRH intern for NeighborWorks® Sacramento. After her program year, she stayed on as a Real Estate Projects Assistant, where she specialized in single family homeownership programs for low to moderate income families through the Neighborhood Stabilization Program and Mutual Self-Help projects. Andrea also worked for a commercial real estate brokerage, where she conducted site analyses for large retail developments, and a real estate technology company in the Sacramento area.
Coming from a farmworker family and experiencing housing instability growing up, Andrea feels fortunate to work for an organization that prioritizes the needs of marginalized communities. She graduated from Sacramento State with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with an emphasis on race relations and is currently pursuing her MBA at the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.
