
Luisa Café Figueiredo Facanha
Senior Research Specialist
Luisa is the Senior Research Specialist at CCRH. She supports statewide technical assistance, advocacy, and development of stand-alone research projects that advance CCRH’s mission to promote equitable affordable housing and community development in rural, agricultural, and American Indian tribal communities. Currently, she’s working on the development of the California Farmworker Housing Study in partnership with the UC Davis Western Center for Agricultural Health and Safety.
Before joining CCRH, Luisa worked as a research assistant on a collaborative project among CCRH, Non-Profit Housing Association of Northern California (NPH), and Grounded Solutions Network that collected data through a statewide survey to update Grounded Solutions Network’s National Inclusionary Housing Database. Luisa also has varied experiences teaching in higher education and working on research projects for organizations in Brazil and in the U.S.
Luisa holds a Master of Science in Community Development from UC Davis and a Master of Science and BA in International Relations from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
