CCRH Staff Lead Discussions at Housing California 2025
At the 2025 Housing California Annual Conference, CCRH had a strong presence, including having multiple staff members help lead discussions.
Luisa Café Figueiredo Facanha, our Senior Research Specialist, participated in the session "Making Farmworker Housing Possible," as one of the panelists. The discussion evaluated barriers to homes that meet the needs of farmworkers and strategies to overcome those barriers, and how to promote housing for farmworkers.
Austyn Perry, our Director of Leadership Development Programs, was also a panelist, lending expertise during "Empowering the BIPOC Affordable Housing Workforce: Adapting, Innovating, and Connecting Industry Career Development Initiatives." This session reflected on the impact of existing career development initiatives, explored ways to adapt and innovate to meet changing workforce needs, and discussed opportunities to connect various statewide initiatives.
Iliana Chevez, Director of Tribal Programs, and Liz Hernandez, Associate Tribal Program Manager, led the session "The Future of Tribal Housing." During this session, Iliana and Liz shared their experience in addressing tribal housing needs and also reflected on the successes in tribal housing that has empowered our communities for a better future.
CCRH has a few photos from each of the sessions, and we invite you to view them!
